Landmark Education – MacSecret???

This blog is a public call out for anybody who has either worked for, or had a leadership accountability with Landmark Education… anybody else feel like they’re going crazy in the ‘real’ world… struggling to get a job, having issues with relating to others, lost focus, can’t be bothered, tired of fighting ‘outside’ companies with insane no-structure-on-track-for-disaster hierarchical structure that have zero integrity???

I worked for this education company between 1997-1999 as SELP Registration, Assisting Program, and Communication Curriculum Manager.  On a warning for one year (unbonusable) when I didn’t meet my measures for two quarters in a row, I started to question the education I thought was going to transform the world.  Well, more to the point, I started to question the rigidly, inflexible people that worked for the corporation with an extremely high turnover of staff.

During the two years and one quarter ‘on staff’ one woman left with an iron deficiency, another with exhaustion from being over adrenalin-ised, there was a case of depression, and the part time employee who left with carpal tunnel syndrome caused mayhem when Centrelink saw how many hours she’d been working on a part time basis.  She claimed back the overtime hours much to the horror of the new Centre Manager – rather than being a loyal Landmark-ian, the ex-employee became a traitor and needed supervision to claim her belongings back from the office.

Those are examples of the cases of illness, there were others employed for anywhere between 2 weeks and a year during my time on staff… and those were only the paid employees, then there were leaders… people who had agreed to lead Landmarks’ seminars and introductions in exchange for the training provided. A two year agreement as a platform to step up to the next level and lead Landmarks’ programs to paying customers.  I don’t have the exact figures, of how many people left before their two years finished… no, I don’t know what the stats are, and yes, I am relying on memory… that’s why this blog.  I am keen to connect with people who have participated with Landmark at a leadership level to get a sense of where people are at, now, after the training.  How is life after Landmark??

You may also be asking how I got myself involved with Landmark, well that’s a whole story in itself, it goes something like this….
